The event brought together a range of local colleges, specialist organisations, and supported internship and employment providers. Each offering valuable insights into opportunities available for young people with special educational needs. From education pathways focused on employment, to social opportunities and day services, there was something for all those attending.![]()

We were also delighted to welcome Sasha from Disability services who shared expert guidance on financial support and navigating application processes — an invaluable resource for families. Thank you!![]()

This event was all centred towards building awareness and empowering both students and parents to navigate their future aspirations with confidence. It was wonderful to see so many meaningful connections being made.![]()

Gaynor was invited to attend a ceremony on Friday 17th April, to receive her award accompanied by Alex Smith Registered Manager, Louise Wright Team Leader and Carrie Butters, her NSCG Assessor and nominator.![]()

The ceremony was hosted by the College Vice Principal Shelly Brown and Professor Raheel Nawaz, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Staffordshire, where they heard the inspiring stories of 12 award winners and their reasons for being nominated by their tutors.![]()

On Friday 8th May David Lewis’s Clinical, Therapies and Safeguarding Teams were ‘Highly Commended’ at the Stars of Social Care Team Awards. The event, which has several award categories representing all different aspects of what is great about social care, including the category for the Complex Care Team Award of the Year.![]()
We were delighted that David Lewis’s Clinical, Therapy and Safeguarding Team were finalists in this prestigious category. Although the Team didn’t win the award, they were the only Highly Commended Team by the judges in this category demonstrating the fabulous person centred, responsive, and high-quality care and support they provide every day.![]()

Inspiring Success: David Lewis Charity Breaks Barriers and Opens Doors to Career Opportunities for All
David Lewis expands a successful work experience programme for individuals with complex needs in partnership with local businesses, AstraZeneca and Sodexo.
Based in Cheshire East, the charity offers a variety of services to support young people and adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism. Their person-centred approach aims to empower individuals to live independently and fulfil their potential, emphasising inclusivity and well-being through innovative programmes and collaborative partnerships.
Royal Visit Celebrates important new development at David Lewis in its 120th year: Empowering Lives, Inspiring Futures
David Lewis in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, received a special visit from its Patron today, Her Royal Highness (HRH) The Duchess of Edinburgh, on a day that marked a significant milestones for the charity. As part of her visit, the Duchess officially opened a new College building, providing additional space for our already established college to provide comprehensive and person centred special education for young people with special educational needs aged 19 upwards, empowering them to reach their full potential and strive towards their aspirations.
