This event brought together over 1,600 individuals dedicated to making a difference in their communities.![]()

"It was a most amazing experience that was more than I dreamed it would be. Saw lots of celebrities and royals, but didn’t overshadow why we were all there. Love and togetherness was the theme of the day. The Abbey was an architect's dream, and the police and volunteers were obviously present but not in your face. Well organised, and personally for me, it met the right ambience and camaraderie with everyone in the Abbey itself. Thank you so much for offering this to me; I will hold the experience close to my heart always."![]()

"Attending the Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on 5th December was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. After tracking down a spare ticket when mine didn’t turn up, I made my way through the highly secure entrance, already feeling a mix of excitement and awe. Having only ever seen the Abbey on television, stepping inside in person was genuinely overwhelming — the history, scale, and atmosphere are impossible to capture in pictures. With over 1,600 invited guests filling the space, the evening felt both grand and wonderfully festive, a perfect blend of tradition and Christmas spirit hosted by HRH The Princess of Wales. The whole experience was made even more special by spending time with Jackie from Beech House, whose sparkling conversation and infectious enthusiasm for pomp and pageantry somehow made her feel more royal than the crown jewels themselves."

David Lewis expands a successful work experience programme for individuals with complex needs in partnership with local businesses, AstraZeneca and Sodexo.
Based in Cheshire East, the charity offers a variety of services to support young people and adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism. Their person-centred approach aims to empower individuals to live independently and fulfil their potential, emphasising inclusivity and well-being through innovative programmes and collaborative partnerships.
Royal Visit Celebrates important new development at David Lewis in its 120th year: Empowering Lives, Inspiring Futures
David Lewis in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, received a special visit from its Patron today, Her Royal Highness (HRH) The Duchess of Edinburgh, on a day that marked a significant milestones for the charity. As part of her visit, the Duchess officially opened a new College building, providing additional space for our already established college to provide comprehensive and person centred special education for young people with special educational needs aged 19 upwards, empowering them to reach their full potential and strive towards their aspirations.
