David Lewis, a pioneering charity devoted to supporting individuals with complex support needs, continued with its 120th Anniversary celebrations at the home of one of its Patrons, Arley Hall on Tuesday, 19th November 2024 with a drinks party for key partners, supporters, current and former Trustees and other distinguished guests including HM Lord Lieutenant for Cheshire Lady Alex Redmond, accompanied by her husband Sir Phil Redmond.
The evening was an opportunity to celebrate the work of the charity over the last 120 years and to also look to the future including exciting plans around a number of new developments at the charity’s Great Warford site.
The charity has continuously provided a wide range of services, including a specialist school, specialist college, residential services for adults, adult day services, alongside clinical, behavioural and therapeutic support.
Reflecting on this significant milestone, John Heritage, Chief Executive of David Lewis, said “I am hugely grateful that Lord and Lady Ashbrook hosted this wonderful event for us this evening to celebrate what our fabulous charity has achieved over the last 120 years as well as focusing on our exciting plans for the future. I was delighted that a number of the people we support were able to join us this evening too and perform a song they’ve been practicing to share with our guests alongside some of their creative work. Tonight was also an opportunity to share with our guests something of the magic that is David Lewis – its people”
Viscount Ashbrook, Patron of David Lewis said “I was delighted, along with my wife, to host such a wonderful celebration of a charity I have been involved in for over 40 years as either a Trustee or Patron. Its wonderful to celebrate what the charity and its people have achieved but its also important to look forward and focus on the next stage of the charity’s exciting journey which I know everyone who joined us was equally excited to hear about”
