Senior Care Officer

1x Senior Care Officer (Days)
37.50 hrs per week – full time
Temporary Cover to July 2009

£16,233 rising to £17,315 per annum (Pro Rata) without relevant qualification
£16,882 rising to £17,965 per annum (Pro Rata) with relevant qualification

We are looking to recruit two Senior Care Officers within the Centre that may be looking to transfer to a new unit or Care Officers with a minimum of two years experience.

Your role will be to ensure good practice in standards of care, providing shift leadership and role modelling for our Care Officers. You will be responsible for the maintenance of records, assisting the House Manager to develop and implement care plans for the children, and to promote and safeguard their welfare.

You will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, and liaise closely with other staff, parents and agencies as appropriate. Excellent communication skills are essential at all levels for the effectiveness of the role, along with organisational awareness and an empathetic caring nature.

Shift work patterns, including weekends.
