Community Provision
The Supporting Adult Living Service is embracing the challenges of the change of direction for the centre.
Embedding our mission, vision and values into everything we do, 2008 has brought about many exciting initiatives for our resident group.
Our ability to provide a flexible range of housing options for our residents has been boosted in 2008, with positive partnership working with Housing Associations in the North West.
Our existing provision of Bryce House in Bollington, which is a large double bungalow, remains home to 11 individuals. A key focus on life skills, employment, budgeting, planning, personal safety and social skills, equips and enables residents more choice and control over their lives. Bryce can provide that vital stepping stone on a pathway to greater independence.

In partnership with Northern Counties, we secured the lease of No 2 Consort Close in April 2008. The property is situated next to Bryce House, but provides the opportunity for one individual to live his life independently. Assistive technology has been installed in the house to provide support if / when necessary.
We are also actively working with individuals who want to move into accommodation with their own tenancy. By listening to people and understanding how they want to be supported and where they want to live, we are abale to respond positively to requests which allow people to realise their aspirations.
We have a small domiciliary care agency, which is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection. This enables the David Lewis Centre to provide services in a more flexible way.
