G.P. Services

Primary Medical and Dental Services are provided to the Centre through the Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust. The objective of the GP Service is to provide personal medical services to acceptable clinical standards to residents of the David Lewis Centre, both in surgery and on home visits within the centre. This includes the provision of appropriate health promotion and preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care.

Primary Health Care Services are delivered to the residents of the centre by a GP and a practitioner in conjunction with the clinical team of the centre. Primary Medical Services extend to a wide range of preventative services to ensure the well-being and broad based care of all residents.

Management support is provided to maintain the clinical system and develop and maintain policies, procedures and protocols as required.

The multi-disciplinary team work closely together to ensure services are provided to a high quality and that they are of a consistent standard to meet the identified needs of the residents. Clinical governance requirements are complied with as they relate to continuous improvement in quality and organisational performance.
