Dental Services

The Dental staff specialise in the treatment of people with special needs and in particular, people with epilepsy, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

They provide regular check-ups and treatment for residents plus emergency treatment for people on assessment. Treatment is carried out at the David Lewis Centre wherever possible and if necessary, treatment under general anaesthetic can be provided at the local hospital.

There is a training programme for the David Lewis Centre care staff in the dental care of those with special needs.
