Adult Assessment

The Adult Assessment Unit (AAU) is a small, specialist unit for adults between the ages of 18 to 65 years. We offer a comprehensive, residential assessment for individuals whose primary difficulty is a complex seizure disorder and other associated conditions. The unit has 9 single rooms including one disabled room and three video telemetry rooms, all with en-suite facilities.
The unit specialises in the diagnosis, assessment and management of seizure disorders. Working in partnership with the Walton Centre in Liverpool and the Centre for Clinical Regional Neuroscience Unit at Hope Hospital, we can offer leading expertise in this field with highly skilled Neurologists and Neuroscientists to complement our multi-disciplinary team.
