Frequently asked questions

Q - What are the criteria for children to be admitted to the school?
A - The children at school are aged 7-19.  They must have epilepsy or another neurological impairment and complex learning difficulties.
 
Q - How are places funded?
A - The David Lewis School is a non-maintained special school and does not accept private funding.  Places at the school are funded by local authorities.

Q - How are children referred to the school?
A - Referrals are made by the LEA or origin.

Q - What is the catchment area for the school?
A - Great Britain.

Q - Do the children have their own bedrooms?
A - Yes.  There are 8 children's houses and every child has their own bedroom.  This is available for their sole use 52 weeks a year subject to funding being agreed.
