At david lewis we are able to provide occasional accommodation at 'The Brambles' and No1 Mill Lane for both parents and carers. Accomodation is conveniently situated only a short walk from our school and college.
The Brambles
The Brambles accommodation is suitable for wheelchair users and offers compact fully centrally heated accommodation with parking for your vehicle. Brambles accommodation comprises of:

Linen and breakfast basics are provided.
Meals and Eating Out
During your stay your accomodation includes the provision of breakfast cereal and basic refreshments. Both accommodations provide facilties for cooking and meal preparation. Parents and carers are welcome to bring items for consumption on the premises. For eating out the Stag’s Head Hotel is situated on Mill Lane (approximately 200 yards walk from our main site) and provides a warm welcome and good, home good food. If you wish to travel further a field there are many other restaurants, bistros, and a range of takeaways in the nearby village of Alderley Edge, which is approximately 3 miles away or in the larger town of Wilmslow, which is approximately 5 miles away from david lewis.
david lewis 'Local' shop
Situated in the grounds of our main site, behind Leverhulme Hall is the david lewis 'Local' shop. Providing confectionary, basic food provisions, toiletries, soft drinks, newspapers, magaznes, gifts and cards, our 'Local' is very popular during term time with all our students, and frequently used by residents and our staff.
Opening hours are:
Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Other Shopping Facilities
Supermarkets are in easy driving distance from your accomodation. There is a Safeway in Alderley Edge, and Sainsburys and Waitrose situated in Wilmslow town centre.
There is a Post Office/General Store in the nearby village of Chelford, approximately 2 miles away.
Petrol stations can also be found in Chelford, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow
Banking Facilities
Most main high street banks can be found in either Alderely Edge village or Wilmslow town centre.
Transport
We have a limited bus service from and to Warford. For your own convenience we advise using your own transport or if you wish the services of a local taxi company.

Smoking
We would politely request that occupants of our accomodation do not smoke within the accomodation.
Collection of Keys and Payment Arrangements
Keys may be collected from our main reception in the Administration Building, at the bottom of the main entrance as you enter our main grounds. Reception hours are: Monday – Friday 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. If your arrival falls outside these hours please notify us in advance so alternative arrangements can be made.
There is no charge for the accommodation for parents/carers visiting for an initial assessment. For all other visitors an accommodation charge of £15 per day is levied for use of the property – cheques should be made payable to 'The David Lewis Centre' and handed into our reception staff in the Administration Building. If arrival and departure falls outside the above hours alternative arrangements for payment will be made by prior agreement.
Vacating your Accommodation
Parents/carers are requested to vacate the accomodation by no later than 10 a.m. on the day of departure to enable housekeeping to clean and change linen prior to the next arrival. If this is not possible please speak, in advance, to our reception staff in the Administration Building between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Or call on 01565 640000.
