Accommodation for parents
There are currently two areas which are utilised for parents and carers and they are The Brambles (situated to the rear of The Brambles residential accommodation – see site plan) and No 1 Mill Lane opposite the main Centre site at the far end of the crescent.

Brief Description of Accommodation
The Brambles parents’ and carers accommodation is suitable for wheelchair users – it offers compact fully centrally heated accommodation. A car parking space is available. Facilities are very similar to those provided by a Travel Inn and comprise of:

No 1 Mill Lane is a semi-detached, fully centrally heated house with parking for two vehicles available adjacent to the property. The accommodation consists of:

Linen and breakfast basics are provided.
Evening Meal Arrangements
There is no provision for an evening meal; however, parents/carers may wish to bring items for consumption on the premises. Alternatively the Stag’s Head Hotel, which is approximately 200 yards away at the corner of Mill Lane, provides a warm welcome and good food. If you feel adventurous and wish to travel further afield there are many other restaurants, bistros, Chinese & Indian takeaways and a chip shop in Alderley Edge, which is approximately 3 miles away. For those of you who prefer the delights of MacDonalds the nearest is situated on Water Lane in Wilmslow, which is approximately 5 miles away.
DLC Local
DLC Local is situated in the Centre’s grounds (see Site Plan). The opening hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Supplies consist of sweets, cigarettes, limited foodstuffs and cosmetics, soft drinks, gifts, daily newspapers and magazines.
Other Shopping Facilities
The nearest supermarket, Somerfield is situated in the village of Alderley Edge, which is approximately 3 miles away. Larger supermarkets such as Sainsburys and Waitrose may be found in Wilmslow town centre, which is approximately 5 miles away.
The nearest Post Office/General Store is situated in the village of Chelford, which is approximately 2 miles away. There is also a petrol station, which supplies basic general food supplies and newspapers.
Banking Facilities
There is a National Westminster Bank in Alderley Edge, which offers a 24 hour Cash Machine service.
Transport
Unfortunately there is little or no public transport from Little Warford; therefore, if you do not have your own transport you may wish to use the services of a taxi company. The Centre utilises the following companies:

The nearest main line train station is situated in the village of Alderley Edge.
The Centre is approximately 9 miles away from Manchester Airport.

Smoking
We would politely request that occupants refrain from smoking in the accommodation for the convenience of future guests.
Collection of Keys and Payment Arrangements
Keys may be collected from Reception in the Administration Building Monday – Friday between 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. If arrival falls outside these hours alternative arrangements may be made by prior agreement.
There is no charge for the accommodation for parents/carers visiting for an initial assessment. For all other visitors an accommodation charge of £15 per day is levied for use of the property – cheques should be made payable to The David Lewis Centre and handed into the reception staff in the Administration Building. If arrival and departure falls outside the above hours alternative arrangements may be made by prior agreement.
Parents/carers are requested to vacate the premises by 10 a.m. on the day of departure to enable housekeeping to clean and change linen prior to the next arrival. If this is not possible please speak to the reception staff in the Administration Building who may be contacted between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on 01565 640000.
