Medical & Nursing Care

The multi-disciplinary team at Frederick Harwood has a wealth of experience in medical, nursing and social care.
Our Consultant carries out two ward rounds per week and a Medical Physician is in attendance on a daily basis as well as being on call. We have a team of 19 experienced nursing staff with a range of qualifications and 42 dedicated care staff.
In addition, all staff receive mandatory training in resuscitation, fire safety, moving and handling with further in-house training in epilepsy, medication administration, health and safety procedures and food hygiene.
As part of our commitment to holistic care we also have access to the many other specialist staff at the David Lewis Centre including physiotherapists, hydrotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, speech therapists and dieticians.
