Adult Education

We provide a range of education-based services at the Centre which residents are encouraged to take part in.   These include basic skills in numeracy and literacy, cookery, art and craft, computing, current affairs and communication skills.

We also help residents study for externally recognised and accredited qualifications such as the level 1 and 2 Open College Network qualifications in I.T. and N.T.P.C. Entry level 2 and 3 in woodwork and Horticulture.

As well as offering our own education facilities, we also run a Community Education Programme with the help of Macclesfield College.   Tutors visit Day Services to provide a varied programme of activities which includes cookery sessions, music, keep fit, drama, multi-media, art and I.T.
