Day Services

Day Services offers residents of the David Lewis Centre the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of activities that are centred on an individual’s needs.   With the help of our committed staff, we support individuals and help them to develop life skills and broaden their opportunities based upon interest ability and need.

The service has its own Residents Club with a computer suite as well as a spacious lounge area that offers a wide range of leisure and recreational activities.   There is a day services facility that offers a wide range of educational activities within a single story building with its own basic skills room, art and craft room, kitchen and sensory room.

There are also 3 workshops providing a range of work opportunities from woodwork and light industries to horticulture.   Each workshop provides services to the local community by producing and selling goods or by fulfilling contract work.

Day Services is also encouraging increasing community presence with an off-site garden maintenance business and the development of a supported employment service which runs in conjunction with a wide range of local employers.
