Healthcare Commission
The Healthcare Commission exists to promote improvement in the quality of healthcare in England and Wales and, in England, this includes regulation of the independent healthcare sector. The full legal name is the Commission for Healthcare Audit and Inspection. It was formed by the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 and launched on April 1st 2004.
The Healthcare Commission inspects all medically registered units within The David Lewis Centre twice per year and works closely with the Centre management to ensure that standards are met and upheld.
The results of all inspections are recorded in substantial inspection reports which are available to the public. Unfortunately, these documents are not yet available the Healthcare Commission website but a direct link will be added below when this facility is provided.
