Training & Development
Training & Development is rated very highly at The David Lewis Centre and we have a dedicated training team providing support to all staff. Time and resources are also allocated.

As a new employee you will be required to attend a comprehensive induction training programme (between 7-10 days), which covers all the basic knowledge you require in order to work at The David Lewis Centre. There is also an extensive in-house training programme that will provide you with the skills you need to do your job and develop your career within the Centre. You will be supported to attend various study days, conferences and training sessions to assist your vocational development and maintain your professional accreditation where required. We also have our own training centre with a modern IT learning suite.
You will receive regular supervision for guidance and professional support; also an annual performance development reviewto discuss your training and development needs with your supervisor or line manager and agree on your personal development plan.

We encourage health care professionals to work towards recognised qualifications such as NVQ levels 2, 3, and 4. Other staff are encouraged to undertake relevant professional qualifications and we can provide professional, as well as financial support and encourage continuing professional development for all.
