215 miles in 10 days
That's the distance covered by Andy Grannell from Bank of America. Andy walked across Britain from the West to East Coast and raised £2500 for david lewis as well as £2500 for Christies. He followed the Trans Penine Trail from Southport to Hornsea, accompanied only by his dog Harley. "Reaching the end was a really emotional moment. I loved the fact that I had been supported so well by my sponsors."

Raffles, cake sales, bag packing, parachute jumps, long distance walks.... you name it, they've done it! We can't wait to see what they will come up with next.
From John O'Groats to Lands End - in a Morris Minor
Ray Parker has just completed the famous Jogle (John O'Groats to Lands End) in his beautiful Morris Minor. Ray is the father of Jonathan who lives at david lewis. Ray compeleted the trip to raise money for our minibus appeal. He reports,
"I am pleased to say that we completed the run from John O' Groats to lands end on tuesday/wednesday. The car performed really well and didn't miss a beat. We did the run in 20 hours and 25 minutes including stops for food, fuel etc. It was a sunny and windy day at John O Groats and a scorching hot day at Lands End."
In At The Deep End
Anne Cramp who attended our Assessment Centre back in 1985 decided to raise money for our minibus appeal as her way of saying thank you. She completed a sponsored swim in memory of John Croke who also had epilepsy and sadly passed away in 2006. Anne was supported by John's family and raised £800. Thank you Anne.
Dawn's 2008 Challenge- what a year!
Dawn Fletcher from Aspect Print likes a challenge. At the start of 2008, she decided she was going to support our minibus appeal, by holding not one, not two, but three fundraising events in one year. The first event, The Beat Goes On, was a sponsored drumming event. 10 young drummers accompanied by their teacher Jason kept the beat for 5 hours. The second event was a Golf Day at Horsley Lodge, Derbyshire. and the third was a fantastic masked ball in October. She is now putting her feet up having raised over £11,000 for our minibus campaign.
