Fundraising makes the difference

Your donations go directly towards funding the projects at The David Lewis Centre which are not part of the day to day living and care costs. Specialist equipment, holidays, building and development projects are all funded by the generosity of our supporters.

Launching The David Lewis Centre Minibus Campaign

Our minibus fleet has travelled over 1 million miles since 2001. Each bus is used from 8 in the morning until 10 at night.
They are our vital link to the local community, enabling residents to go to college, on holiday, out for the evening and to work. As a result, they develop new skills, make friends, make a contribution and have fun!
The buses have worked hard but are now on their last legs. We need to buy 12 buses over the next 3 years. This will cost around £400,000. Could you get involved?
How you can help pages give loads of ideas as to how you can get involved.
Together, let’s keep the wheels on the bus!

Here are just a few of the projects you have helped make happen.

Happy Holidays

We have bought two fully fitted holiday caravans in Porthmadog, North Wales. Located on Black Rock Sands, the Greenacres site has a fantastic seaside atmosphere and will provide some great holiday memories for our residents. The caravans are suitable for wheelchair use and will be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Playtime!

Fundraising Projects

Funding from a number of trusts has allowed us to install some fantastic outdoor play equipment in some of children’s houses. The equipment is designed to help promote fun and activity and get the children moving.
