Footsteps helps adults to take the all-important steps along the continued journey to independence, with a focus on vocational training and supported employment.
Sessions are available throughout the year and take place Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 12.00 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.30pm. Our timetable of activities, educational programmes and work experience placements is wide and very varied and the facilities we provide of an extremely high standard. Join at any time throughout the year, but we will ask that you come along to visit us first to make sure it is what you will want to do. It also gives us the chance to meet you and make sure that we can safely meet your needs so you can make the most of your time with us.
Learners can purchase up to ten sessions per week. Fees are charged by the session, which includes full staff support through person-centred planning. There is an opportunity to purchase transport to and from the sessions at very competitive rates. If you have a 'personalised budget' from your local authority, you can use this to buy sessions. We accept the Empower Card. Please let us know if you wish to purchase slots using this method.
Helping you grow as an individual and stay in control of your condition, we offer a broad range of education-based services, for you to take full advantage of. Basic skills continue to be developed, embedded within vocational and work contexts.
Where ever appropriate, learning will lead to recognised qualifications, including Level 1 and 2 Open College Network IT qualifications, and N.T.P.C. Entry level 2 and 3 in Woodwork and Horticulture. There are more details on the courses we offer below.
