By Train

The nearest train station is Alderley Edge, which is circa 3 miles from David Lewis. There is no taxi rank or cab office at the station and advanced booking is therefore essential. Details of Customer Service for local taxi details can be found here:

By Bus

Unfortunately, David Lewis is not on a bus route.

By Car

From the South (M6)
  • Leave the M6 at Junction 18 and take the A54 towards Holmes Chapel.
  • Keep straight on at the B5308 (signposted to Macclesfield).
  • At Holmes Chapel, turn right at the first mini roundabout (A50) and immediately left at the second mini-roundabout (A535 Macclesfield).
  • Keep on the A535 (signposted Alderley Edge or Chelford) for just over 6 miles until Chelford roundabout.
  • Take the second left exit, signposted A537 Chester.
  • Continue through Chelford, past the Egerton Arms on the right and take the next right into Sandlebridge Lane.
  • In just under 1 mile, bear right over a narrow stone bridge into Mill Lane and David Lewis is on the right.
From the North (M6)
  • Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and take the A556 towards Chester.
  • At the next traffic lights, turn left (A5033 Knutsford) and continue to the roundabout in Knutsford.
  • Turn right onto the A50 (Stoke-on-Trent) and at the second traffic lights, turn left onto the A537 towards Macclesfield.
  • In 3.5 miles, turn left into Sandlebridge Lane, with Marshall Church on the corner.
  • In just under 1 mile, bear right over a narrow stone bridge into Mill Lane and David Lewis is on the right.
From the West (through Knutsford)

Head for Knutsford and follow directions as for ‘From the North (M6)’ above.

From the East (through Macclesfield)
  • From Macclesfield, follow the sign onto the A537 towards Chester.
  • Continue for about 6 miles through Henbury and Monks Heath traffic lights, to Chelford roundabout.
  • Take the third exit, signposted A537 Chester, M6 Preston.
  • Continue through Chelford, past the Egerton Arms on the right and take the next right into Sandlebridge Lane.
  • In just under 1 mile, bear right over a narrow stone bridge into Mill Lane and David Lewis is on the right.
From Manchester, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge
  • Travel south on the A34 until the Alderley Edge roundabout, or travel through the centre of Wilmslow following signs to Congleton B5086 (A34).
  • These two roads meet at a roundabout, south of Wilmslow.
  • Continue on the A34 to Alderley Edge and take the second right turning into Ryleys lane (A535) towards Holmes Chapel.
  • In just over 1.5 miles, turn right into Merrymans Lane.
  • The road bears sharp right. Take the next left into Mill Lane and David Lewis is on the left.
