How to Apply
STEP 1
Discuss your future with your advisers – Connexions, teachers at school, social worker and family.
STEP 2
Make an initial, informal visit. We will show you around and give you lots of information about College and what we have on offer. We will also ask you and your carers some questions and advise whether the College is likely to be able to meet your needs.
STEP 3
Complete an application form and send it to our Registrar. Completion of the form gives us permission to seek information from your school and medical advisers.
STEP 4
We collect information to tell us about your needs and this may require us to visit you at home or school.
STEP 5
If we think the College could be suitable, we invite you for a 3 day residential assessment, for you to get to know us and for us to get to know you.
STEP 6
Our admissions team consider your case. If we think you will benefit from a place at David Lewis College, we will offer you a place and also prepare the case for your Connexions Adviser to seek funding for you.
STEP 7
Once your funding is in place, we send you details about joining College and look forward to welcoming you when you start.
