Background to the College

David Lewis College offers residential and day places and provides education and training for around 60 young people aged 16-25 years, who have complex epilepsy and related neurological conditions. Our students also have learning difficulties and a significant number have behavioural and communication difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to enable young people with complex epilepsy and/or related neurological disability to make the optimum transition to adult living in the wider community by recognising potential, developing skills, building confidence, raising self esteem and maximising individual capacity for independence.

Residents take an active role 07.08.08

The David Lewis Centre has a Charter of Service User / Resident Involvement, which commits to "placing the resident at the centre of everything that we do".
