  • Ensure that all doors have clear signs – eg picture, symbol, name, etc
  • Ensure professional presentation of boards especially photos of Execs, Trustees, Managers, Staff, Residents
  • Promote Makaton signs of the month via team brief
  • Promote training and use of Makaton
  • Include communication on induction and refresher courses
  • Ensure courses for staff on Makaton / communication available
  • Develop the use of writing with symbols across site
  • Ensure that key public areas also carry WWS signs – eg Café, Reception, Clinic
  • Ensure that external publications include signs
